The Secrets of Vesuvius is a beautifully written book, full of interesting vocabulary, both English and Latin. Lawrence manages to effortlessly develop her I was very excited when I discovered Caroline Lawrence because in my view she is the Robert Harris of children’s fiction and Robert Harris is one of my favourite authors/5.
